अष्ट्रेलियाको भिसा सम्बन्धि नियम झन् झन् कडा हुँदै गइरहेको छ। अष्ट्रेलिया सरकारले सुरक्षा, शान्ति स्थापना जस्ता कारण देखाउंदै भिसा नियम कडा बनाउंदै आएको हो । पछिल्लो नियम अनुसार, अष्ट्रेलियाको भिसा अप्लाइ गर्दा कुनै पनि गल्ती भेटिएमा १० वर्षसम्म भिसामा प्रतिबन्ध लाग्नेछ। १२ महिनाको प्रतिबन्ध समयलाई बढाएर १० वर्ष बनाइएको हो ।भिसा अप्लाइ गर्दा, गलत बयान दिने, झुठो ब्यांक ब्यालेन्स, झुठो अंग्रेजी योग्यता, झुठो कामको अनुभवको विवरण, नक्कली प्रमाणपत्र आदि पाइएमा १० वर्षसम्म अप्लाइ गर्न नमिल्ने गरि भिसा रिजेक्ट तथा क्यान्सल गरिने बताइएको छ । यो नियम १८ मे देखि यताका भिसा निवेदनमा लागु हुनेछ। यो नियम लागु गर्नु भन्दा पहिले फर्ममा भएको गलत जानकारीबारे सुचना दिइन्थ्यो र सच्याएर १ वर्ष पछि भिसा अप्लाइ गर्न सकिन्थ्यो। सरकारले त्यो १ वर्षको अवधिलाई बढाएर १० वर्ष बनाएको हो ।
